Mother and child

This one is a gift from a friend to his wife for Christmas, obviously its his wife and child in the picture. I'm still getting used to using graphite pencils after years of using coloured pencils, but feel happy with the results so far.
It's also the first time in years I have done a portrait of anyone, I found it challenging, but enjoyed playing with my putty rubber for hours on end 12 x 16 inches in size on 300g watercolour paper.
